Anyone is very welcome to come down and watch. If you are interested in playing, the session has a particular format. There will be two pieces - one before the break and one after the break. Each piece is done on a GRID that tells the players when they're going to play but not what to play. You’ll need a watch (or stop watch on phone etc).
It's a basic (fun!) system, it does mean we need to know exactly who's playing beforehand as everyone is allocated a number on the GRID. If you've not done it before, we asked that you watch/listen to the first piece and then we can give you a number and you can join in with the second if you want to. The style of the playing will vary massively depending who shows up - improv etc.
You need to provide your own equipment. We’re not using the house pa. Small amplifiers are welcome.

Design Rewind is Billy Strahan Jr. & Jonathan Towers. Billy Strahan is lead vocalist and drummer; Jonathan Towers plays bass and electric guitar and provides backing vocals. The duo writes all their own music and perform their own songs as well as cover songs. Design Rewind can be best described as a Modern Throwback. Every month we'll be opening up The Ferret stage for an Open Mic, and inviting local bands & musicians to showcase new material. The FIRST TUESDAY OF EVERY MONTH will feature an exciting mix of new & experienced players, showing us what they've got.
We have plenty of Open Mic slots from 7pm. Arrive early to bag your spot!
Backline provided - drummers please bring breakables - please get in touch if you have specific requirements.
Slots are first-come first-served.
Free entry. It all kicks off at 7pm.
