Eyesore & The Jinx:

Eyesore & The Jinx’s early singles and debut EP were released by Merseyside taste-makers Eggy Records. Eyesore’s sphere of influence began to expand out of their home region, starting with a BBC 6Music Roundtable win for ‘On An Island’ produced by Jonathan Hartley from iconic psych-surgeons Clinc. Their debut EP, featuring singles ‘Leisure Time’ (KEXP Song of the Day) and ‘Nightlife’ was recorded with Daniel Fox (Gilla Band). The EP was funded by PRS Foundation’s PPL Momentum Accelerator fund for Liverpool musicians and was pressed to vinyl thanks to a successful crowdfunding campaign.

Eyesore songs often consist of ugly narratives centred around vile fictional characters. They take loose inspiration from what is happening around them, which has meant that in some cases, their made up stories have come true. Predicting the downfall of local public figures aside, their repertoire often centres around the worst of society (the eyesore), but with a playful side (the jinx). This continues through the new material they’re set to share in 2023, alongside a healthy dollop of self-reflection.

After releasing their EP in the midst of the pandemic, they spent the latter end of 2021 and much of 2022 writing new material and tightening it up on stage with some choice gigs supporting acts like Bodega, Working Mens Club and DITZ. While the band stepped away from releasing music to continue songwriting and demoing, previous single ‘Leisure Time’ carried on picking up support behind their backs appearing on an episode of Shameless US and then somehow managing to appear in a number of Spotify editorial playlists at the end of 2022.

2023 feels like a fresh start for the band, with lots of recorded music under their belts there’s certainly an album announcement just round the corner.

Flowers of Evil:

Manchester based Flowers Of Evil (Oscar Puente, Phia Sky, Ted Booth) are an LGBTQ+ fronted art-pop outfit, pairing new romantic flavours with industrial ‘80s goth beats to create something enamouring and unforgettable. Their postmodern theatrics provide an extra element of intrigue for listeners, and since forming in 2020 have collaborated with a number of artists from the queer community and far beyond.

Autocamper:

Autocamper formed in 2004 to perform jangle pop shanties in exchange for free passage on merchant sailing vessels.

Tero Kulero:

A four piece psych rock outfit from Preston, Tero Kulero mixes sludgy riffs, cosmic drones and pulsing synth lines, stew it all up in a big, bubbling pot of reverb and then serve it out to all and sundry.

John Rental:

What every dog and doll wants and baby they can have it… it’s about to get rental.

+ DJ TBA!
