Total Victory (Manchester/France)
Total Victory are one of the finest bands of the last 10 years – no qualifiers needed. Over the last decade they have pumped out a steady stream of thick, viscous, astringent rock music. Their songs can be devastatingly emotional and then funny within the same moment. They are masterful live performers, seeing them in person is a visceral thrill, and Dan’s ‘maverick punk frontman’ demeanour means all bets are off if you are standing at the front. Which you fucking should be. Recent rumblings from behind the Total Victory iron curtain have indicated that there might not be an unlimited amount of opportunities to see these guys live again. For fuck’s sake don’t miss this one.

1.21 Gigawatts (Preston)
1.21 Gigawatts are an indie rock band from Preston, Lancashire. They write pop songs with sick riffs and awesome licks. They do not believe in ghosts. 1.21 Gigawatts sing songs about sport as a metaphor for life and vice versa and versa vice. They have an opinion on North Korea. Their dress code is strictly smart-casual. I rest my case.
SPQR is an explosive new Alt Rock/Art Rock band from Liverpool.
